We are very excited to have received some funding from Patagonia, as well as a generous private donation, which will allow us to run a pilot Level 2 course in Regenerative Land-Based Systems. This is a Crossfields accredited course that has been designed by the Apricot Centre in Devon and that we are really excited to be bringing to Bristol for the first time. This course will run 1 day per week from mid-February 2026 to the end of May (12 weeks with a 2 week break over Easter), and take place on a growing site in East Bristol.
The course covers the following modules:
- Introduction to regenerative land based studies
- Soil ecology for regenerative systems
- Plant ecology for regenerative systems
- Introduction to permaculture principles and ethics
- Agroforestry
- Agroecology principles and practices for pest, weed and disease control
- Practical horticulture
- Crop care and pruning
We hope that by running this pilot course we can show the need and evidence for further courses and help leverage ongoing funding to continue offering the course.
